Save the date – Stamford Plaza hosts Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

Stamford Plaza will host Brisbane’s premier Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea fundraising event – with a nautical twist – on Thursday May 26 – and the whole city is invited!

Stamford Plaza will again join local celebrities and millions of everyday Aussies putting the kettle on in support of Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, now in its 23rd year.

Brisbane locals are invited to dine out for a great cause at Cancer Council Queensland’s official morning tea celebration at Stamford Plaza, and tickets are on sale now!

Channel 7’s Kendall Gilding and radio personalities Jo Hayes and Monique Dews from 4KQ and 97.3FM will host the stunning riverside morning tea, where guests will hear from inspiring guest speakers and enjoy nautical-themed high tea buffet delights.

Proceeds from the morning will support Cancer Council Queensland’s vital work in cancer research, education and patient support services.

Cancer Council Queensland spokesperson Katie Clift said every cup raised for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea 2016 counted in the fight against cancer.

“Supporting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an easy, fun and delicious way that we can work together to help beat cancer,” Ms Clift said.

“All funds raised at events like this enable us to drive much-needed funds into cancer research, prevention and local support programs.

“We’re thankful to have the support of Stamford Plaza yet again – and with hosts Kendall Gilding and Jo Hayes, Monique Dews and a surprise visit from foodie Alana Lowes – it’s an event not-to-be missed!”

Each year Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is enjoyed by more than a million people nationally, and in 2016, Cancer Council Queensland hopes to raise $2.8 million for their work in cancer control.

The official Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea date is Thursday, May 26, but hosts can hold morning teas anytime throughout May or June.
