Hero access to Australia’s largest triathlon event

Tickets to the Noosa Triathlon 2016 are sold out but Cancer Council is giving Queenslanders a chance to secure a spot in the hugely popular event as part of team Cancer Council Queensland.

The Noosa Triathlon is Australia’s largest, oldest, and highest profile triathlon event – with tickets selling out within just days of registrations opening.

In 2016 Cancer Council Queensland will be one of 10 feature charity beneficiaries and will offer 30 coveted spots for a $300 registration fee.

Cancer Council Queensland spokesperson Katie Clift said those who took part in the triathlon on behalf of CCQ were giving hope to all Queenslanders touched by cancer.

“Noosa Triathlon is one of the most popular events in Australia, with around 8000 tickets selling out usually within a week of registrations opening,” Ms Clift said.

“By registering on behalf of CCQ, you’ll secure your space, be assigned a fundraising page and coach, gain access to the exclusive charity check-in queue and early start wave, as well as access to the exclusive CCQ tent at the finish line – all the while making a vital difference in the lives of Queenslanders impacted by cancer.

“Your fundraising and support will allow us to continue our vital work in cancer control, giving Queenslanders the best possible chance of detecting, preventing and treating cancer.”

The event, to be held Sunday, October 30, 2016, will see more than 8000 people come together to celebrate sports, healthy lifestyles, fitness and fun.

With a swim starting off at beautiful and calm Noosa Main Beach, a ride that takes in the scenery of the Hinterland and a run that soaks up all that Noosa has to offer – it’s no wonder the event generates global hype.
