Help fight cancer by sharing your thoughts

Researchers from Cancer Council Queensland and Queensland University of Technology are seeking Brisbane locals to join a focus group to help us better understand how people interpret cancer-related statistics, particularly their understanding of disease maps.

The information will play a crucial role in the way we communicate these type of statistics in the future as part of our vision to support all Queenslanders, all cancers.

We will be holding focus groups on January 19 at the Cancer Council Queensland building on Gregory Terrace, Fortitude Valley. Free parking will be available for registered participants.

Groups will be held at 12 noon and 5:30pm, and will include a light lunch and supper respectively. Each focus group will go for approximately 2 hours, and have between 6-8 participants.

This study has been approved by the Queensland University of Technology Human Research Ethics Committee. A formal description of the project can be found here.

We are asking for expressions of interest. If you would like to register your interest, please provide your details below by January 15.

Please contact research@cancerqld.org.au if you would like further information.
