Help fight cancer by sharing your thoughts – Health Professionals

Researchers from Cancer Council Queensland and Queensland University of Technology are seeking Brisbane-based Health Professionals who work with cancer patients to join a focus group to help us better understand how health professionals interpret cancer-related statistics, particularly their understanding of disease maps.

The information will play a crucial role in the way we communicate these type of statistics in the future as part of our vision to support all Queenslanders, all cancers.

We will be holding focus groups on the 18th January at the Cancer Council Queensland Building on Gregory Terrace, Fortitude Valley. Free parking will be available for registered participants.

Groups will be held at 12 noon and 5:30pm, and will include a light lunch and supper respectively. Each focus group will go for approximately 2 hours, and have between 6-8 participants.

This study has been approved by the Queensland University of Technology Human Research Ethics Committee. A formal description of the project can be found here

Initially we are asking for expressions of interest. If you would like to register interest, please provide your details below before the 13th January.

Please contact research@cancerqld.org.au if you would like further information.
