Volunteers play a pivotal role in creating a cancer free future.

Know anyone who would make a great volunteer?

We are recruiting for a range of volunteer opportunities including:

  • Hospital Based
  • Cancer Connect
  • Lodge Support
  • Retail
  • Relay For Life
  • Cancer Counselling – Admin

Please share this with anyone you think might be interested in joining the CCQ family, or if you are interested in taking on another role we would love to hear from you!

We wouldn’t have the reach and impact that we have without volunteers. It’s your energy, commitment and dedication that brings us closer to a cancer-free future.

But don’t just take my word for it, meet some of your fellow volunteers below and find out why they love about being a CCQ volunteer.

Hospital Volunteer Profile
Lou – Hospital Based Volunteer

I visit the hospital every week, it makes such a difference to patients having a friendly face when they’re having treatment. My role really is to have a chat and point someone in the right direction if they need further support.

After each visit I come away feeling privileged that I’ve been let into someone’s life.
Everyone at CCQ is so passionate about what they do, it’s great to be a part of it.

Relay for Life Volunteer
Cale – Relay For Life Volunteer

When my Mum passed away, I was determined to make a difference, to make a change and to partner with the best. The really key thing was knowing there was progress in cancer control and in turn, an important part of the healing process.

I’ve been surprised by how much volunteering translates into your career. It’s a constant learning journey about not just the technical things… it’s about those important interpersonal skills. When you’re a volunteer you get a sense of compassion and that is rare in the workplace.

Head to our volunteer opportunities page for more information on these positions or call the volunteer team on 1300 851 957, we’d love to hear from you!
