Cancer Council’s ultimate Christmas gift guide

Shops have launched their Christmas sales, tills are ringing, and presents are being wrapped in anticipation for one of the most festive days of the year!

Whether you love or loathe Christmas shopping, it’s time to send Santa your wish-list.

If you’re stuck for ideas for your own list, or still need to buy for family and friends, make Cancer Council your first-stop shop.

Here are our top five Christmas picks for 2016:

    1. Ugly Xmas Rashie
The latest trend in festive fashion is on sale for all sizes of elves. With two styles featuring a kangaroo or a koala, the Ugly Xmas Rashies give you the option to spend Christmas building sandcastles, not snowmen. They’re high-quality lycra and rated UPF 50+, keeping wearers fashionable and SunSmart all summer long. Buy: uglyxmasrashie.com.au.
    2. Limited edition Summer Series Sunglasses
Cancer Council has launched a new range of limited edition sunglasses – just in time for Christmas! The summer sunnies come in a bright blue, yellow or orange framed option and are the perfect shape for any face. With an Australian Eye Protection Factor of 10, and a UV protected category 3 lens, these are a must-have. Perfect for a stocking filler, or a Secret Santa gift. Buy: cancercouncilshop.org.au.
    3. A shady hat
No summer outfit is complete without a SunSmart hat to protect your face from the sun. Cancer Council has a wide range on offer, making them a suitable gift for any family member. We recommend the Brenton Leather Trim hat for women (Style: RL108) and the Jasper Casual Hat for men (Style: BD180). These broad-brimmed hats come in a range of colours, and have a stylish band around the crown. Buy: cancercouncilshop.org.au.
    4. Active dry-touch sunscreen
Heading outdoors for a game of backyard cricket or a day at the beach? You’ll need a tube of our active dry-touch sunscreen! The quick-dry sunscreen is SPF 50+ and is designed for an active lifestyle – it’s also oil-free, light and non-greasy. In both pink and grey tubes, the active range will help protect against sun damage. Buy: cancercouncilshop.org.au.
    5. SPF30 lipstick
If you’re a woman, you can’t get through the festive season without a good lippy for events. Put in an order for yourself, or treat your friends, daughter or mum to a new shade. Cancer Council’s SPF 30 lipsticks come in eight colours to suit all occasions. They will also hydrate your lips. Buy: cancercouncilshop.org.au.

Enjoy the festive season the SunSmart way for a healthy and happy holiday.

We recommend Queenslanders use all five methods of sun protection when heading outdoors this Christmas – Slip on protective clothing, Slop on SPF30 or above broad-spectrum, Slap on a broad-brimmed hat, Seek shade and Slide on wrap-around sunnies.
