Cancer Council’s gotcha covered – all summer long!

Whether you’re heading out to the beach or just the backyard – Cancer Council has Gotcha Covered this summer with a brand new stylish sun protection collection.

The Gotcha Covered range includes high quality SunSmart products from swimwear to sunglasses, sunscreen, long sleeve shirts, sun sleeves and gloves.

The new summer campaign aims to give Australians confidence when outdoors by offering the best protection and reducing the risk of skin cancer. No matter what situation you find yourself in, Cancer Council has products to keep you safe.

Cancer Council Queensland spokesperson Katie Clift encouraged locals to stock up on the new range of SunSmart products.

“Queensland has the highest rates of skin cancer in the world – around 370 skin cancers are diagnosed every day in our Sunshine State,” Ms Clift said.

“The good news is that skin cancer remains one of the most preventable types of cancer – it’s imperative to stock up on SunSmart products this summer to reduce your risk.

“Cancer Council products offer some of the best protection under the sun, meaning you can still head out and enjoy your activities with confidence.”

Ms Clift said the new range of products offered a high level of sun protection – with a new injection of style.

“All the products are fun, relaxed and simple, making them suitable for any situation you find yourself in,” Ms Clift said.

“This year we’ve also included new accessories like a tote bag and more cosmetics to complement the wide range of swimwear and SunSmart items.”

Sun protection is required when the UV Index is 3 and above. In Queensland, the UV Index is 3 and above all year round, so sun protection is required through every season.

Surf’s cranking, gotcha covered. Fish are biting, gotcha covered. Summer’s calling, we’ve gotcha covered!

All profits raised from the sale of Gotcha Covered products support Cancer Council Queensland’s ground-breaking work in cancer research, prevention and education programs, and patient support services.
