There’s still time to get the girls together

Get the girls together to beat cancer.

Although October is almost over – the pink parties are here to stay!

Queenslanders, there’s still time to host a Girls’ Night In to show your support for Queensland women affected by breast and gynaecological cancers.

By hosting a Girls’ Night In, you’re supporting Cancer Council Queensland’s work across every aspect of women’s cancers, from research to prevention, support and advocacy.

Sadly, more than 4200 Queensland women are diagnosed with breast and gynaecological cancers each year, and around 850 will die from their disease.

More needs to be done to reduce incidence rate and support those affected, and it’s within our reach to make a difference.

To the many hundreds of Queensland women who have already hosted a Girls’ Night In – thank you – without your help we would not be able to continue our fight.

There’s still time to get involved and give hope to the women in our lives – our mums, grandmothers, sisters, daughters and friends who have been affected by cancer – by hosting a Girls’ Night In this November.

Taking part is easy. Simply invite the girls over for a fun night in – host a high tea, movie night, or pyjama party – and donate the money you’d usually spend on a night out.

Girls’ Night In gives us an important opportunity to reach out to loved ones – to ask about their health, encourage cancer screening, and provide psychological support.

C’mon girls – let’s unite in pink and show our support for a cancer free future.
