How does your research contribute to the bigger picture in cancer prevention, treatment, and support?

Routine analysis and reporting of cancer statistics is critical to understanding, monitoring, and improving outcomes for Queenslanders affected by cancer. Through the regular collection of Queensland cancer data, we’re able to identify and track differences in cancer outcomes over time and geography, identify areas of concern, and ultimately, better understand the impact of cancer on the community.

Who or what has been the most significant influence in shaping your approach to your work?

There has been no one influence. Throughout my career, I’ve been so fortunate to work in environments rich with many clever and kind individuals – any achievements or successes I’ve had reflect their generosity and support toward me.
