Caring for Our Community – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker Course
In 2017, 2018 and 2019 Cancer Council Queensland provided courses for Queensland based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people working in the health field. Courses were held across the state in Rockhampton, Napranum, Bundaberg, Townsville, Toowoomba, Cairns, Brisbane, Mount Isa, Springfield, Thursday Island, Mackay and Cunnamulla. These two-day courses provided information on cancer and cancer treatment, the prevention, screening and early detection of cancer and end of life care.
