Get involved and help Queenslanders living with cancer by volunteering. Volunteers are the heart of our organisation. Join us to make a greater impact and connect with like-minded people.
Every contribution helps support those living with cancer. Whether a one-off donation or monthly gift, your support ensures funding stability for long-term goals and future generations.
Leave a legacy by including a gift in your Will, starting a tribute page for a loved one, or funding a research grant for early-career cancer researchers driving clinical innovations.
Organise a fundraising event in your community, either as a team or an individual. You can join one of our existing fundraising events or you might like to come up with your own way.
When organisations work together, we can have a greater impact for every Queenslander going through cancer and help amplify our message for all Australians.
However you get involved, you’re making a direct impact on the lives of Queenslanders affected by cancer. See the results of what we’ve all achieved.
Giving hope one contribution at a time.
At Cancer Council Queensland, we believe in the power of community, and the impact of collective giving.
Payday Heroes is our workplace giving program for compassionate individuals and companies who are committed to making a difference for the Queensland community.
It’s an incredible way to support local Queensland cancer research, prevention programs and cancer support services.
Contributions go towards world-class research, prevention programs and support service.
1. The immediate tax benefitsWhen you donate through your pay, you reap the benefits upfront by immediately reducing your taxable income, instead of waiting for tax time.
2. The convenienceLife is busy, and automatic deductions from your pay can be a much simpler way to donate to cancer research, prevention and support services.
3. Your dollar goes even furtherWhen you sign up to make regular donations, it saves us on admin costs, which means more of your donation goes toward ensuring no Queenslander is left navigating cancer alone.
4. It helps us execute long term projectsRegular donations provide a predictable source of funding for our vital support services and research projects.
Every dollar donated goes a long way.
$21 per paywill give a Queenslander a transport voucher. This means a person in need of a lift can get to their medical appointments without worrying about the cost, reducing the burden and stress of travel.
$38 per paymeans over a twelve-month period, you’ll have paid for the collection and processing of multiple tissue and blood samples to understand genetic and lifestyle-related cancer risk.
$84 per paywill more than cover a private support session for a Queenslander diagnosed with cancer. These one-on-one sessions help Queenslanders and their families navigate the challenges of a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
